Got Seeds? Contribute to our Seed Bank Binder!

Did you know you can donate seeds you no longer need to the library? The Clearview Library District hosts two Seed Bank Binders--one at the Windsor Library and another at the Severance Library--maintained through donated seeds.

As you are starting seeds for your gardens this spring, consider donating your leftovers to the library! Simply place your extra seeds in a sealed and labeled container and drop them off at the front desk at either location. The Adult Services team will distribute them into smaller packets to fill the binder.

Junior Librarian Program Gives Kids Ages 6 to 12 a Behind the Scenes Look at Library Life

The Clearview Library District is inviting young readers to step into the world of librarianship through its Junior Librarian program, a monthly volunteer opportunity for children ages 6 to 12.

Each month, one applicant is selected to volunteer up to two hours with the Children and Family Services Librarian. During their time in the role, Junior Librarians help shelve books, create themed book displays, assist with programs, and learn how to search the library catalog. They also tour staff-only areas, including the book drops, work rooms, and the Bookmobile garage.

Join In: Film, Conversation, and Community Connections

The Clearview Library District will host Join In: An Afternoon of Film, Conversation, and Community on Saturday, November 15, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Windsor Community Recreation Center’s Evergreen Room, 250 11th St., Windsor. The event will feature a screening of the award-winning documentary Join or Die, a virtual Q&A with the filmmakers, and a "Join Fair" where community groups and clubs can connect with potential members.
