Need help preparing your tax return? Each year the library partners with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to help you with your taxes. VITA is a national program between the Internal Revenue Service and nonprofit organizations. Tax preparation at the Clearview Library District is completed by IRS-certified volunteers from Realities Focus.
The service is provided free of charge to community members meeting income guidelines or who are more than 60 years old. Registration is required for all appointments, and must be made through the MakeChangeNoCo.org website. Registration will open on January 16th, however appointment slots at the library will only be available on Mondays from March 6th through April 10th. Library staff are not able to change or make registrations on behalf of applicants.
Additional information for this service, as well as application materials (to be filled out prior to a scheduled VITA Tax appointment), can also be found at MakeChangeNoCo.org.
