The Clearview Library District is proud to introduce a new art gallery at the Severance Library, expanding opportunities for local artists and community members to connect through visual storytelling.

The new gallery features two dedicated display spaces: the north wall near the booth seating area and the wall along the Aspen and Pine meeting rooms. The first exhibit opened in April and will remain on display through June 2026 during regular Severance Library hours.

The inaugural exhibit brings together four local artists. Watercolorist Jessica Schmidtbauer makes her gallery debut with nature-inspired work that reflects her goal of connecting people to the places and creatures they love. Joining her are three artists whose work previously appeared in the January exhibition at the Windsor Library.

Anna Peen's Japanese watercolor and acrylic paintings draw on her Eastern and Asian background, exploring themes of place, nature, and everyday moments of stillness. Amber Joy's pieces channel the personal joy art brings to her life and her desire to pass that feeling on to others. Dr. Carson's photography celebrates her work as a local veterinarian, capturing meaningful memories with the animals in her care.

Local artists interested in being featured in a future Severance Gallery installation are encouraged to review the district's Public Art Policy or contact Communications at courtney@clearviewlibrary.org.

Visitors to the Windsor Library should also note that the Quiet Space art gallery is on a temporary hiatus through the end of 2026, while the "Moments That Made US" history exhibit is on display in that location.

The Clearview Library District invites the community to visit both the Windsor and Severance Libraries to experience these exhibits during regular library hours. The Severance Library is located at 5 Timber Ridge Parkway, Severance, CO 80550.
