Interlibrary Loan gives you the opportunity to check out materials from a network of libraries, multiplying your Clearview Library District borrowing power. With a single search you can identify and borrow materials from other locations and have them delivered to the Windsor Library or Severance Library through the statewide courier system.
We provide access to the Interlibrary Loan network Prospector. Prospector is a unified catalog of academic, public, and special libraries in Colorado and Wyoming. Through Prospector, you have access to more than 30 million books, journals, DVDs, CDs, videos, and other materials.
How to Use Interlibrary Loan
Step 1: Search the Clearview Library District Catalog
Check that we don’t already have the item in our catalog. If we have an item in our catalog, place it on hold.
Step 2: Search Prospector
Search for your item in Prospector. Once you find what you are looking for, click the “Request It” button. You will then be asked to authenticate. Choose Alliance - Clearview Library District from the dropdown; enter your full name, entire library card number, and pick up location; and click the “Submit” button.
Please be aware that while Prospector allows you to place more than seven requests at a time, only seven ILLs per library card may be checked out at any given time.
