Please note that due to the pandemic, availability and delivery times of Interlibrary Loan materials may vary depending on the lending library. It is possible that a library listed may not be lending at this time and requests may be cancelled.

Interlibrary Loan gives you the opportunity to check out materials from a network of libraries, multiplying your Clearview Library District borrowing power. With a single search you can identify and borrow materials from other locations and have them delivered to the Windsor-Severance Library through the statewide courier system.

We provide access to two Interlibrary Loan networks: Prospector and MOBIUS.
Prospector is a unified catalog of academic, public, and special libraries in Colorado and Wyoming. Through Prospector you have access to more than 30 million books, journals, DVDs, CDs, videos, and other materials.

MOBIUS has more than 70 member libraries in its network, including academic, public, and special libraries. Through MOBIUS you have access to books, journals, DVDs, CDs, videos, and other materials held in these libraries. MOBIUS items will take much longer to deliver.

How to Use Interlibrary Loan

Step 1: Search the Clearview Library District Catalog
Check that we don’t already have the item in our catalog. If we have an item in our catalog — even if it is checked out — you can’t request it from Interlibrary Loan. (But you can place it on hold.)

Step 2: Search Prospector
Search for your item in Prospector. Once you find what you are looking for, click the “Request It” button. You will then be asked to authenticate. Choose Alliance - Clearview Library District from the dropdown; enter your full name, entire library card number, and pick up location; and click the “Submit” button.

Search Prospector

Step 3: Search MOBIUS
If you can’t find the item in Prospector, try MOBIUS. Once you find what you are looking for, click on the “Request It” button. You will then be asked to authenticate. Choose Alliance - Clearview Library District from the dropdown; enter your full name, entire library card number, and pick up location; and click the “Submit” button.
