Junior Librarian Program Gives Kids Ages 6 to 12 a Behind the Scenes Look at Library Life
The Clearview Library District is inviting young readers to step into the world of librarianship through its Junior Librarian program, a monthly volunteer opportunity for children ages 6 to 12. Each month, one applicant is selected to volunteer up to two hours with the Children and Family Services Librarian. During their time in the role, Junior Librarians help shelve books, create themed book displays, assist with programs, and learn how to search the library catalog. They also tour staff-only areas, including the book drops, work rooms, and the Bookmobile garage. The program is designed to
