Clearview Library Now Offers Online Crafting Classes
The Clearview Library District offers Creativebug, an online platform that hosts art and craft classes and resources.
With a Clearview library card, community members will have unlimited access to thousands of online art and crafting tutorials, including watercolor, paper art, knitting, crocheting, quilting, lettering, ceramics, and baking.
“Creativebug is a vast repository of art and craft video tutorials,” said Casey Lansinger-Pierce, Public Services Manager. “Each tutorial is taught by an artist and features supply lists, a transcript of the video, a discussion forum, and the ability to connect with others that have completed the project before.”
In addition to classes, Creativebug also contains a pattern library and inspiration feed.
“The projects range by skill level. Creativebug is endlessly inspiring,” Lansinger-Pierce said.
This resource complements existing library programming.
“Knowing our community responds well to the creative programs we offer, we felt Creativebug would be a perfect addition to our list of resources,” said Lansinger-Pierce. “Acquiring Creativebug helps to provide an outlet for creative expression.”
