Clearview Library District Seeks New Dungeon Master for Teen D&D Program
The Clearview Library District is on a quest, and it needs a Dungeon Master to lead the way.
The Windsor Library is recruiting a DM to take the helm of its popular Teen Dungeons & Dragons program. The ideal candidate is an adult who brings a love of storytelling, a sense of humor, and the patience to guide first-time players through their very first roll of the dice. Applicants from the Windsor, Severance, and West Greeley areas are encouraged to apply.
"There are plenty of DMs out there who are very strict with the rules, but the teen group enjoys a less serious style of play," said Vincent Cameron, the program's outgoing Dungeon Master. "We also have many players who are brand new to D&D. The new DM will need to be willing to teach the basics while running a game."
Sessions are held twice a month, typically on the first and third Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. at the Windsor Library. No professional experience is required. A passion for the game and a willingness to work with teens is enough to get started. The library provides everything the table needs, including maps, reference books, character sheets, dice sets, and snacks. No registration is required for participants.
The position pays $150 per month for two four-hour sessions. Adult applicants ages 18 and older are preferred. The program is open to teens ages 12 to 18.
