Finalist Weekend Events
The Clearview Board of  Trustees would like to invite the public to three events on Finalist Weekend. Join us in hearing each potential Library Director’s words and provide your feedback. We need your help as we find the author for the next chapter of the Clearview Library District. Please direct any questions to jeromey.balderrama@clearviewlibrary.org.

Key Dates for the Public:

  • Monday, April 15: Announcement of Finalists
     
  • Tuesday, April 16: Finalist Fact Sheet Distribution
    • Get Your Finalist Fact Sheets: Learn more about the finalists traveling to the Windsor and Severance Library Branches! Each finalist has put together their introduction as a “Fact Sheet” that tells you more about them, their background, and their approach to being a Library Director. Fact sheets are available on this page for public viewing. You can find them below.
       
  • Friday, April 19 - Saturday, April 20: Finalist Weekend (for more info and event links, see below)
     
  • Monday, April 22 & Tuesday, April 23: Trustee Listening Sessions
     
  • Thursday, April 25: Regular Board Meeting, Discussions Begin
     
  • Wednesday, May 1: Special Session of the Library Board

Please note that we are targeting the naming of a Director in early May, but that timeframe is subject to change based on required due diligence and compliance with state law.

Each finalist has put together their introduction as a “Fact Sheet” that tells you more about them, their background, and their approach to being a Library Director. You can view the recruitment brochure here.

Finalist Feedback Surveys are now closed. Please contact the Board of Trustees directly if you wish to provide feedback.

Tell Us What You Think - Your Avenues for Input:
Members of the Library Board are anxious to get your input on the finalists! There are three ways to give feedback:

     1. Throughout finalist weekend: A QR code and link will be shared for people to access finalist feedback forms. You can provide your ratings and any insights or comments you may have. You can remain anonymous, and an aggregate of data and comments will be shared with the Board of Trustees.

     2. Trustee Office Hours: On the Monday and Tuesday after finalist weekend, Trustees will be available at the Windsor and Severance Library Branches to listen to feedback from the public. Drop in anytime during office hours and share your thoughts.

  • Windsor Library - Monday, April 22: 3:00 - 5:00 pm, in the Longs Peak Meeting Room
  • Severance Library - Tuesday, April 23: 5:00 - 7:00 pm, in the Spruce Meeting Room

     3. Public Comment at the Board of Trustees Meeting, Thursday, April 25 (Severance Library - Cottonwood Meeting Room): The public is invited to use their public comment time to provide feedback or insights from Finalist Weekend or the Director Search process.

Finalist Weekend Sessions - Open to the Public

12:45 pm - 3:45 pm | Clearview Board of Trustee Interviews 
Windsor Library - Pikes Peak Meeting Room
Each finalist will be interviewed for one hour during a Board of Trustees working session. Click HERE to join via Zoom.

9:30 am - 11:00 am | Meet the Finalists - Public Open House
Severance Library - Cottonwood Meeting Room
All members of the Clearview Library District communities are invited to meet the finalists, ask your questions, and engage in free-flowing discussions. Light breakfast refreshments will be served, and Trustees will be on hand to answer any questions and receive your feedback.

11:30 am - 1:00 pm | Clearview Board of Trustees Presentation
Severance Library - Cottonwood Meeting Room
Each finalist will deliver a presentation and facilitate a discussion on a chosen library-related topic during a Board of Trustees working session. Click HERE to join via Zoom.
