Bookshelves

Interlibrary Loan gives you the opportunity to check out materials from a network of libraries, multiplying your Clearview Library District borrowing power. With a single search you can identify and borrow materials from other locations and have them delivered to the Windsor Library or Severance Library through the statewide courier system.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Service Update

The Clearview Library District is temporarily adjusting Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services as we prepare for system upgrades and our upcoming transition to the Marmot Library Network. We will pause the use of Prospector as our ILL platform during this period. However, we will continue to offer ILL services to patrons in a limited capacity through an ILL Request Form.

Prospector Access Pausing

  • Access to Prospector will pause on Friday, November 7, at 5:00 PM.
  • During the pause, patrons will not be able to search and request items through Prospector.
  • We anticipate access to Prospector will tentatively return by April 1, 2026.

Already checked out items from Prospector?

Continue following your regular due dates—no changes required.

Limited ILL Service During the Pause

Patrons may continue to request materials through our ILL Request Form

  • Limit of 3 active requests per patron. An “active request” includes any submitted request not yet completed.
  • Additional requests will be canceled.
  • Items generally arrive in approximately 2 weeks.

Looking Ahead: Marmot Library Network

After transitioning to the Marmot Library Network:

  • Patrons will have access to a larger shared collection of books, DVDs, and digital materials.
  • A shared catalog with easier searching and improved discovery tools.
  • A more seamless borrowing experience across member libraries.
