Staff Spotlight: Nathan Triz
Each month we spotlight one of the friendly staff faces you’ll run into at the Windsor-Severance Library or on the bookmobile.
Meet Customer Service Supervisor Nathan Triz:
Hometown: Key West, Fla., but have lived in Windsor for 10 years.
Interests: Live music (both attending and performing), songwriting, gaming (video and tabletop), yoga and exercise, preparing to become a dad!
Favorite Book: I don't have a favorite, but Ready Player One is one I very much love. My favorite recent read is called SuperBetter by Dr. Jane McGonigal.
Preferred Superpower: I would usually answer "teleportation," but currently "cure disease."
Favorite Author: I hate picking favorites, so I don't. But I will say Dave Eggers and David Mitchell get the job done.
Favorite Vacation Spot: I like Riviera Maya, Mexico.
What three people (dead or alive) would you invite to a dinner party? Trey Anastasio, Andrew W.K., and Bjork. All alive and well!
Favorite Quote: "Peace — it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.” — Unknown
Job at the Library: I've worked for this library for 11 and a half years, wearing a few different hats. Currently, I lead the customer service and shelver team. I absolutely love helping patrons find access to free resources and helping to promote curiosity and exploration. I consider myself very lucky to be a part of such an incredible library community.
