Staff Spotlight: Heidi Fuhrman

Each month we spotlight one of the friendly staff faces you’ll run into at the Windsor-Severance Library or on the bookmobile.

Meet Mobile Services Assistant Heidi Fuhrman:

Hometown: Fort Collins, CO

Interests: Anything in the mountains--hiking, skiing, camping! Reading (with cups of tea), baking, hanging with my family and friends, nerding out about history or space!

Favorite Book: This is probably one of the hardest questions in the universe. My childhood favorite was The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge, as an adult I love Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien or any nonfiction book on history. (You're also never too old for a picture book)!

Preferred Superpower: Immediately be able to speak any language fluently (even fictional ones).

Favorite Author: I read a lot of dead ones (yikes!). Some of my favorites are J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Louisa May Alcott, L.M. Montgomery. My favorite living author is definitely my Mom (Aimee Fuhrman) ;)

Favorite Vacation Spot: Any National Park (the Tetons are my favorite!)

What 3 people (dead or alive) would you invite to a dinner party?: Only 3?! Probably Elizabeth Elliot, Mr. Rogers, and C.S. Lewis.

Favorite Quote: "Fairytales are more than true--not because they tell us dragons exist, but because they tell us dragons can be beaten." G.K. Chesterton

Job at the Library: Mobile Services Assistant (you might see me on the bookmobile or running one of our programs)
