What We're Trying: Microwave Potato Chips
To take steps towards living a healthier lifestyle; we decided to reduce the amount of junk food in the house. However, with this quick and easy recipe that will make just enough for an afternoon snack, we are ready to satisfy potential chip-cravings.
- 35 minutes - While half an hour is enough time to discourage an unhealthy habit, this recipe offers an easy-to-make afternoon snack.
- Three ingredients - Salt, olive oil, and potatoes are likely already in your kitchen, preventing the need to make an extra grocery run.
- Healthier - Less salt and less fat in these potato chips offer a healthier alternative to the typical store-bought options.
- Passing the time - This recipe can be tedious as the potatoes must be sliced and strained. To help pass the time, we recommend using the many free apps offered by the library for e-audiobooks, music, movies, and more to enjoy listening to while you cook.
