LITTLE FREE LIBRARY

CONTEST

Through a generous donation from the Clearview Library District Friends and Foundation, the Library was able to engage the services of Jack Shallenberg of Troop 88 who was working on his Eagle Scout project. Jack was able to build 4 Little Free Libraries with the funds provided. Now comes the fun part – the Library will be holding a contest to give the Little Free libraries away to 4 homes in our community.

Rules for entering the contest:

  • You must live in the Clearview Library District Boundaries. (Not sure? Here is a link to our map.)
  • You must check with your Home Owner’s Association or Metro District to be sure that putting up a Little Free Library is allowed.
  • You must agree to keep the Little Free Library stocked with books. Don’t worry; the Friends and Foundation have agreed to give a box or two of books at the end of every book sale to anyone who wins one of the Little Free Libraries.

Other important information:

  • Jack will help you install the library in your front yard. A post is included with the library.
  • You will need to paint your library.

To enter:

Stop by the Windsor Severance Library, 720 3rd Street and fill out an entry form, or fill out the form below. One form per household please.

The contest will run through Friday, November 23 at the close of the day.
