Reading Bugs is a 4-week book club that fosters the love of books and reading and provides a lively environment for 6-8 year-olds to talk, make, play and learn together.
Join us online for Reading Bugs Fridays at 4 p.m.! Geared for ages 6-8, we'll be reading the Stepping Stones edition of The Wizard of Oz by Frank Baum and adapted by Daisy Alberto.
Registration is required. Please note that you only need to register ONCE for the entire series.
In this children’s classic, young Dorothy and her little dog Toto are swept away to the magical land of Oz by a frightening tornado. Follow Dorothy and her new-found friends, the Lion, the Scarecrow, and the Tin Man as they travel to the Emerald City to find the wonderful Wizard of Oz!
Kits for this online program will be available for pickup beginning Monday, April 5, and will include a free copy of the book, as well as supplies for activities and crafts that will take place during the program. To pick up your kit you can either call the library ahead of time and arrange Library Takeout, or you may come into the library to pick up your kit.
Please note that this program is registration-based only and each child needs to be registered separately. Once you have registered for the program, we will send you a link to join the book club via Zoom every Friday at 4 p.m. April 9 through April 30.
