Join us online for a We Dream in STEAM series every Wednesday and Friday at 4pm. For ages 9-12, this series will include a take home electronic kit. Registration is required. Attendance at each session is strongly encouraged as each session builds onto the last. We will meet twice a week for 8 weeks bringing it to a total of 16 sessions beginning Wednesday, February 3 through Friday, March 26.
For these sessions of We Dream in STEAM you will be lost in space and will need to complete a series of steps to regain communication with mission control! You will receive an introduction to programming, circuitry, and electronics. No prior experience is required.
Each tween will receive an electronic kit that will need to be picked up ahead of the first Zoom meeting on February 3. The kit includes a breadboard (a board that wires are connected to) and Arduino (that can be programmed with a computer) and various devices, such as lights and switches.
Please note that a computer is required to run these simulations and a small program will be downloaded at our first session.
We will be offering a limited supply of kits for this program beginning January 27th. There will be 10 kits available for this series. To pick up your kit you can either call the library ahead of time and arrange Library Takeout, or you may come into the library to pick up your kit.
For questions please contact Chelsey at email@example.com.
This series is conducted with our CSU 4H youth development partner, Patrick Pulis. For more information about our community partner, please visit http://co4h.colostate.edu/.
