Friends & Foundation

The Clearview Library District Foundation (The Foundation) helps further the library’s mission—Cultivate curiosity. Enlighten the mind. Strengthen the community—by providing additional financial support that sustains and expands services to our area’s diverse and growing population.

To that end, The Foundation‘s Endowment Fund helps meet existing needs that are beyond the library's current operating budgets while generating new income to increase offerings to patrons and the community. For example, each year, a small percentage of funds goes to short-term projects, such as the Read and Grow Program and the Author Event Series. In addition, The Foundation’s 501(c) (3) nonprofit, tax-exempt status is a vehicle for receiving tax-deductible contributions.

Methods of Giving

Gifts to The Foundation can be designated for either a specific use or unrestricted use and can be either immediate or deferred. Gifts include the following:

  • Cash
  • Tangible personal property
  • Securities
  • Real estate
  • Retirement plan assets
  • CDs and insurance policies
  • Vehicle donation*

Please consider the form of your gift carefully; you may want to consult with your attorney or accountant before making your contribution.

Short- and Long-Term Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers will find a home at the Library Foundation, which coordinates book sales**, special events, and other fundraisers.

Or, for a longer term volunteer opportunity, consider applying to become a Foundation Board Director and work side-by-side with others who are excited about the future direction of the Clearview Library Foundation. Directors serve three-year terms.
